Chapter 8 Summary

Unable to take her eyes off the medal, Cameryn cannot imagine how Dr. Jewel could have known. Dr. Moore tells her to put the evidence in an envelope, insisting that finding the medal means nothing except that maybe the crazy psychic murdered Rachel. Justin objects because he already checked and found that Dr. Jewel has a solid alibi. Dr. Moore is just trying to do his job, and as he continues undressing Rachel, Cameryn is embarrassed for her friend, but the men act professionally. Cameryn and Justin turn away while Moore takes out a rape kit, and when Dr. Moore announces that there is no sign of trauma, Cameryn is relieved that Rachel did not suffer that indignity.
