Summary

In Chapter 8, the man zipties Alex to a chair. Then, he demands answers from Alex about the lab setting he sees around him. The man removes his mask and looks very similar to Daniel. It is Kevin Beach, the twin brother of Daniel. Kevin had been presumed dead. He is incensed by the photos she has, and demands to know where she has gotten them. Alex identifies herself as Dr. Juliana Fortis, who is now listed as dead. She explains she works for a government agency simply referred to as the department, so secretive and so elite it does not even have a name and does not officially exist. She explains these things to see if Kevin’s face registers any kind of recognition.
