Summary

In Chapter 21, Viola and Baby Vi put up fliers with Kim's picture on them around town. They stop at a coffee shop and discuss Kim's mental state. Baby Vi admits that she has been in contact with Kim by text message. Viola plans to go back to Chicago briefly to pick up a few things, but she is interrupted by a call from Althea. Althea is feeling guilty about Kim's disappearance and asks Viola to take the girls back to Chicago permanently once Kim is found. She also feels guilty and conflicted about Joe. Viola promises to bring the twins to the jail as soon as Kim comes back, but Althea tells her not to.
