Holly Sykes

Holly is a teenager exhibiting typical teenaged angst as the story opens. She loves her family but rebels against the rules and demands placed on her by being part of that family. Holly runs away from home briefly as a show of anger over her mother's reaction to her boyfriend, but she later deeply regrets that action. From a young age, she is psychosoteric. She hears voices that she refers to as the “Radio People” and attracts the attention of the Anchorites who literally feed on children with psychic-like powers. Marinus finds her before the Anchorites can use her and puts a stop to the voices, at least for a while, which takes her off the Anchorites' radar.
