Summary

Chapter two, July 1, opens with Holly waking up to memories of Stella and Vincent. She plans to go first to Rochester and leaves before Ed wakes up to save his argument that she should go home.

Holly comes to an underpass and sees Jacko, though she knows it can't really be Jacko, she feels certain that it is. She jogs into the underpass and the shape of the opening changes as she nears the middle. Then Holly sees Miss Constantin walking alongside her. She sees a picture of a man who has a black spot in his forehead that turns into an eye. The scene evolves with Miss Constantin thrown by a blue light.
