Chapters 50 - 55 Summary

Enzo is about to turn 10 in Chapter 50 and he is feeling the effects of his age and the car accident more than ever. Luca Pantoni of Ferrari has come to the school especially to speak with Denny. Denny politely declines Luca Pantoni's lucrative job offer for the time being, citing legal troubles as the reason for turning down the offer.

In Chapter 51, Enzo's health continues to worsen. Enzo experiences incontinence now and he finds his lack of bladder control to be a huge embarrassment. Denny explains to Annika the consequences of her filing charges and how he may lose his daughter altogether.

In Chapter 52, Denny's mother and father come for a visit. Enzo says they smell funny and both of them look frail. Denny's parents do not talk much at all and Enzo thinks Denny looks terribly uncomfortable.
