Summary

Together, Meg, T.J., Gunner, Kumiko, and Minnie search the house for the sixth person. They start with the ground floor and work their way up. They search the dining room, the patio, the kitchen, and the living room, but don't find anything. They ascend the stairs into the darkness. part of Meg doesn't want to go up there--she has a bad feeling about this and feels they would do better to lock themselves in a room, but they go up. T.J. suggests they leave someone on the stairs so that no one can sneak downstairs while they are searching. Minnie volunteers. T.J. tells Gunner to stay with her. When they go into Meg and Minnie's room to search, Meg realizes notices two things right away: her diary is on a chair out in the open, and Claire's photo is standing...
