Summary

Meg runs up to her room to get her raincoat. On the dresser she notices a photograph of a girl with pale skin and stringy black hair. She recognizes the girl as Claire Hicks--a quiet loner who transferred to Kamiak at the beginning of the fall semester. Meg does not remember the photograph being there before. She wonders how it got there. Even stranger, she recognizes it as being the same photo her family used for her obituary. After Claire transferred to their school, accidents seemed to happen to anyone who was mean to Claire. One guy who tripped her in the hallway got in a car crash two days later and girl who put a mean photo of her on Facebook cut herself on a jagged piece of metal in her locker.
