Friendship

Friendship is a major theme in this novel as the relationship between Caitlin and Vix is the basis of the novel. The author describes how this friendship begins, what keeps it going and the circumstance that it survives. Friendship between the two is exceptional not only because Vix and Caitlin have different personality types but also because they come from different backgrounds. Despite their troubles in life and the problems they face in their relationship, the two remain lifelong friends.
