Section 15: pages 316-353 Summary

In The Players Arrive, Mrs. Amberson pulls up at the hotel as soon as Mr. and Mrs. Martin leave with Lola and Marlene, and the cast begins to arrive thirty minutes later. They use the Metro and Sterling Suites to change and the kitchen as their backstage where they store props. The cast spends the day carrying tables from the dining room to the basement and transforming the hotel into a theater. Mrs. Amberson sends Scarlett upstairs to change while the caterers set up, and Scarlett is stunned by Eric's beauty when he and Spencer emerge from Spencer's bedroom. She wishes them luck. Downstairs, she is impressed that the front desk has been converted into a full bar, and since the guests start arriving an hour in advance, Mrs. Amberson sends Spencer and Eric downstairs to entertain the crowd...
