Section 14: pages 287-315 Summary

In Act IV, Honey and Jinx produced gin in the Hopewell Hotel during Prohibition, rigging the Diamond Suite with a laundry chute that contained a system of pulleys to the basement.

In Desperate Times, Scarlett cannot believe it when Mrs. Amberson moves to the St. Regis, but Spencer says it is because "all of our stuff falls apart when you touch it" (p. 289). He suspects Mrs. Amberson and Donna knew each other, but Scarlett is spared from answering when Lola enters and announces they are completely empty for the first time. Scarlett grabs her bag and phone, promising to return. At the St. Regis, she finds Mrs. Amberson in the middle of having her chakras adjusted, and when she asks why Mrs. Amberson left, Mrs. Amberson says she has caused enough problems and there is nowhere for the show...
