Returned Letter

A letter Annie wrote to Keith is returned to her at the beginning of the novel causing her to believe Keith is dead.

Letter to Annie

Annie breaks into Keith's house and finds a letter he wrote to her explaining why he must leave town. However, instead of leaving town, Keith begins an affair with Annie.

Teddy Bear
