Summary and Analysis for Chapters 37-43 Summary

In Chapter 37, Lani is holding orientation for One World. Bianca and Marnie ask if she's going to hold a workshop on how to steal your best friend's boyfriend. Later, Lani has a hard time eating. She has lost her appetite at home as well. Her parents are concerned and try to talk with her, but she won't tell them what's really going on.

Lani goes out to her porch and finds Blake there. His father kicked him out of the house. The next morning she explains what happened to her mother and father and asks if Blake can stay with them. Her mom says it's not possible. She will talk to child protective services and see what she can do. Blake is allowed to stay for another night, though.
