Old Cape Florida Light House

The opening scene is the discovery of a corpse floating in the surf near the Old Cape Florida Light House which is at the end of the Atlantic Ocean side of Key Biscayne

Stilt House, Stiltsville

The stilt house is one of many platform based dwellings in the tidal flats of Biscayne Bay. It is the home of Mick Stranahan who lives there in complete solitude after he buys the structure at a US Government Auction.

Stiltsville is the name for the collection of structures, like Mick Stranahan's home, which are to be found in the tidal flats of Biscayne Bay. They are usually used for summer parties and fishing trips. Only Stranahan occupies his stilt house year round.
