Chapters 31 to 34 Summary

Chemo and Maggie have been contacted by Stranahan on Chemo's newly acquired car phone. Stranahan tells Chemo he will get another call in a little while to arrange a meeting. Rudy Graveline has taken Reynaldo Flemm's corpse, ostensibly to Mount Sinai Hospital. He has been told about his brother George's death, so he cannot use the wood chipper solution and makes room for the body in his deep freeze. However, now he finds that Stranahan has kidnapped Heather Chappell and left behind a note. He calls Chemo and tells him to come to his house.

When Maggie and Chemo arrive at Graveline's house, with Christina locked in the trunk of Chemo's Bonneville, they find that Stranahan has left a note inviting them to a party at his stilt house and included a map of how to get there. Graveline and Chemo...
