Chapters 7 to 9 Summary

Mick Stranahan finds the only doctor who worked with Dr. Graveline at the Durkos Center who is left in Miami. George Ginger tells Stranahan that the closure of the Durkos was very sudden but he and the other three doctors on the staff had received very generous separation payments. One of them, Dr. Greer, died as a result of a hunting accident six months after the Durkos center closed. Reynaldo Flemm, under the guise of a male stripper, Mr. LeTigre, visits the new clinic run by Rudy Graveline and arranges for an operation on a mole on his left buttock. He reconnoiters the clinic in preparation for his T.V. expose. Shortly after, Maggie Gonzalez calls him from New York and tells him that Stranahan is leaving her warning telephone messages.
