Summary

In Chapter 32, Jesper works on weakening the chain. He says they should raise the gate to start the Black Protocol and he and Wylan talk about the feel of weaponry and fighting. Wylan says he prefers numbers and music because they do not get mixed up as words do. The two share a moment when they realize they are running out of time. They turn the wench and the alarm sounds as they go back to the chain. It finally snaps. Jesper prepares for an onslaught.
