Summary

Chapter 4: Inej starts as Kaz returns to the Dregs house called the Slat. Inej had already found Rojakke who demands to speak to Kaz before reaching for Inej. She hits him with her brass knuckles and tells him to leave. Now she is back in the Slat as Kaz returns and hides as he speaks to Haskell. The man says Kaz should have spoken to him about Bolliger, and Kaz agrees (clearly insincerely). He mentions the job without saying what it is and promises big money. Inej is disappointed when Kaz mentions Pim instead of her. She meets with him in the office and tells him Rojakke is gone. It is revealed that Kaz keeps track of the books and it is rumored that he gave legitimate shopkeepers chances to buy shares in the Crow Club. Kaz says...
