Summary

Chapter 17 – Simon tries to distract himself from his near-obsessive thoughts about meeting Blue by hanging out with Nick and Leah. He comes close to coming out to them, but keeps backing down, worried about what it might do to their friendship. Meanwhile, during a day-long rehearsal for the musical at school (again including Simon’s impatient reaction to the self- important Taylor), Simon has a moment of hand-to-hand connection with Cal; a moment of comfortable, casual cuddling with Abby; and a confrontation with the jealous Martin. Abby, it seems, told Martin she was not interested in him just before she started cuddling with Simon. Martin thinks the two events are linked and, much to Simon’s shock, quits the show.
