Summary

In Chapter 5, when the boy in the hospital room first looked at Emma she knew it was Aiden because he had Rob’s eyes. She wondered if Aiden would ever forgive her for giving up on him and having him declared legally dead. Emma noticed how small Aiden was and wondered what had happened to him during those years. Emma talked to Aiden but he did not respond or seem to recognize her. He turned back to the television cartoon he was watching. Emma asked when she could take Aiden home but Dr. Schaffer told her they needed to try to find out what had happened to Aiden in the years he had been missing. He suggested they talk about his suspicions away from Aiden.
