Summary

Makina continues walking, straight through the center of a park. As she walks, she leaves imprints in the earth. She runs into Chucho there. He says that he has never stopped watching over her. He tells her to follow him, and leads Makina to a building where she meets a handsome old woman standing beside a door with a sign that says “Verse” (105). Makina can no longer remember the meaning of this word.

When she passes through the door, she enters into a smoky room. She believes that something is going to happen. Suddenly a tall, thin man approaches her and hands Makina a file.
