Relationship with Karla

Lindsay steps off a curb in Bombay and into the path of an oncoming bus. He is pulled out of its path by a beautiful woman. She says her name is Karla and he can find her at a bar called Leopold's. For Lindsay, it is love at first sight, and so begins Lindsay's strange relationship with Karla. He wants to be around her and impress her. One of the few times he does impress her is when he takes her to the den of the Standing Babas.

Lindsay is always available to help Karla and her friends. He helps Karla in securing Lisa's release from Madame Zhou's which earns him the wrath of Madame Zhou. On the night that Lindsay and Karla finally have a physical relationship, he has to run off to help one of her friends. He is arrested and held in prison...
