Chapters 15-16 Summary

Johnny Cigar wakes Lindsay in the middle of the night to tend to a man injured in a gang fight. The man, Ameer, has a severe cut on his arm and needs a doctor but refuses to go to the hospital because of the police. Lindsay finally stitches the wound. Before he can clean up and go back to sleep, Prabu arrives and tells him that his friend is in jail. They rush to the police station where the two bear handlers sent by Abdullah were being held. Lindsay pays the fine for the release of them and the bear.

The next morning, after having breakfast with Qasim Ali, he went by Karla's house and found she wasn't home. He wants to retrieve the clothes he left there the day before but goes on to his meeting with Khadar. Lindsay tells...
