Chapters 39 and 40 Summary

Katie is dreaming that she is back at the fair. She sees a man with a baseball cap and sunglasses in the crowd. She recognizes his walk. The man looks as if he is a hunter hunting in the brush for his prey.

Katie and the kids are in the house, watching a movie and eating dinner. Then, Katie puts the kids to bed. Katie drifts off to sleep on the couch and images start floating through her head.
