Chapters 19 and 20 Summary

Alex assures Katie that she did the right thing by leaving Alex. He's trying to tell Katie how courageous she is. Katie mentions that her own father was a drunk, but that he wasn't violent. Alex ends up admitting that he loves Katie. As they continue to talk, Katie tells Alex that it wouldn't have done her any good to call the police because Kevin is a policeman with the Boston Police Department. She also admits that her real name is Erin.
