Chapters 15 and 16 Summary
Katie stays up late the nights leading up to Saturday. She's cleaning and adding new accents to the décor. Jo wakes her up hammering something on nine o'clock Saturday morning. When Jo asks Katie what she's doing tonight, Katie tells her she's having someone over for dinner. Katie spends Saturday getting her hair done, buying a new outfit and new shoes. When she returns to the house, she starts getting everything ready for dinner that night.
While she's showering, she wonders if Alex is showering at the same time. Right on time, she hears him pull into the driveway and she greets him outside. He's brought a bottle of red and a bottle of white wine because he isn't sure what she's cooking. When they get inside, Alex opens a bottle of wine and they chat while sipping it.
