In chapter ten, the children have began to travel the edge of the gorge, looking for a way across since they have refused to listen to Lucy's claim to have seen Aslan calling them across the gorge at a treacherous looking pass. They finally reach a place where the children had fought a battle on their first trip to Narnia. When they begin to enter the town, they are quickly shot at by Telmarine soldiers.
