Summary

In Chapter 19, Vanessa stays inside Stonehaven for several days. Nina goes to get coffee on the fifth day of her stay. When she comes back, Lachlan says he had been invited inside and had talked to Vanessa. The next day, Vanessa came by and invited them both on a hike. Lachlan falls behind. Halfway up the mountain, Nina gets winded and pretends to stop and meditate. Vanessa pulls out her phone and takes a picture. Nina panics and grabs the phone, deletes the picture, and tells Vanessa she is a very private person. Nina goes back to find Lachlan and he kisses her. Vanessa walks back down the mountain to find them. She sees Nina and Lachlan kissing and seems to be jealous.
