Chapters 16-17 and Olivia Summary

Chapter 16. The press jumps on Jimmy and the detectives as soon as they walk out of the house, capturing everything but Jimmy's face. At the police station, Lynley interviews Jimmy. Jimmy immediately offers a full confession, but he is vague on the details. Lynley has Nkata take Jimmy's boots and a DNA sample before Jimmy's lawyer can get there. Later, on his way home, Lynley stops by Little Venice to ask Chris Faraday and Olivia Whitelaw about their alibis once more. The detectives sent to interview the neighbors learned that Chris and Olivia left together late on the night of Kenneth's death.
