Chapters 12-15 Summary

Chapter 12. Lynley wakes in the morning and instantly gets into a quarrel with Helen over why he loves her. They are interrupted by Lynley's valet, who has come to tell them that Guy Mollison is insisting on seeing Lynley. Lynley instructs him to call Havers. Lynley finds Mollison having breakfast in his drawing room. Mollison tells Lynley and Havers that he had an affair with Gabriella Patten two years ago and that was the real reason for his fight with Kenneth Fleming. Mollison also tells them that Gabriella called him the night of Kenneth's murder and he hid her in an apartment he and some of his friends use for their extramarital relationships.
