Part 2: Chapters 8-10 Summary

My First Date. Christopher is angry when he learns Catherine has a date with Julian, but Dr. Paul seems to be indifferent. Catherine enjoys the date, the dinner and dancing, but becomes uncomfortable when Julian takes her to secluded spot and attempts to seduce her. Julian accuses her of being a child while at the same time begging her to come to New York to join his dance company. Julian confesses that he has a back injury, but her weight and size are perfect for him, not causing him the pain other dancers cause. Catherine puts him off, returning home just to argue with Christopher over his affections for her. Catherine blames her mother for Christopher's behavior.
