Chapters 23 and 24 Summary

Chapter 23

Mrs. McIntosh is very upset about the car accident. She is relieved that Emma wasn't hurt but she doesn't believe the story she and Rayna made up about how it happened. Emma was tired and stressed. She told her mother she'd tell her the whole story as soon as she told her who her real parents were. She remembered when she was four and was saved by a school of fish. When she tried to tell her mother, she only laughed but her father believed her. When Emma is taking a shower, her mother tells her she is sorry she laughed at her. When Emma comes out of the bathroom draped in towels, Galen is sitting on her bed. He tells her that her father was a half-breed and that he never promised Rayna he would teach her to drive...
