While graduation ceremonies are still taking place in Manhattan, Aaron goes to see Vanessa in Brooklyn. There, he tells her he knows about Dan, but that she might have at least acknowledged the ring he bought for her. Though it is clear they are breaking up, he insists on taking her to graduation. There, Blair continues her speech, though not to the approval she expected. After she finishes, the headmistress announces prizes, including one to Vanessa as a young filmmaker. As the girls receive their diplomas, Blair and Serena, who has finally arrived, are next to each other alphabetically, and wearing the same suit.
