Point of View

The narration in the book is mainly through Jaime's point of view, although the book starts as if it was narrated by Brendan at the beginning. The short description of his encounter with an occult group provides an interlude to what is going to happen next, and it marks the significance of this event. We are aware that this incident will have the bearing on the rest of the story that seems to unravel mysteries and delusions.

When Armstrong switches to Jaime as a narrator, we are introduced into the world of television, the world of Hollywood and celebrity. Only later we realize that we also gain access to the world of a spiritualist, who perceives such world from a different perspective than other humans who don't have supernatural abilities.
