Summary

In Chapter 7, which is set in September 2003, Sophie found Lindsey’s silver charm bracelet between the couch cushions where it had fallen after Andrew pulled it off her during his last fit of anger. He was angry because she had forgotten to text him. Andrew blamed Lindsey for the bruise, saying she had pulled away from him too quickly. When he asked her if she was lonely with Sophie going to school, Lindsey believed he was really sorry about the way he acted. He suggested that they get a dog.
