Summary

A few weeks after Femi’s disappearance, a cleaner finds a bloody napkin in Femi’s home, and people begin to become suspicious that Femi may have been murdered. Korede briefly contemplates telling her mother the truth, but she knows that her mother would never believe that Ayoola ever did anything wrong, let alone kill someone. Soon, a neighbor of Femi’s says that on the night of the disappearance, he saw two women leaving Femi’s house; he says that one of them was probably Ayoola, as she was dating Femi. Korede and Ayoola confer to think of a lie they can tell the police. The police soon arrive at the house to question Ayoola. Ayoola tells the police that on the night in question, she told Femi that she wanted to end her relationship with him. She says that Femi grew angry...
