Chapters 7-13 Summary

In Chapter 7, Jamie continues to hope his mother will come to visit. Therefore, when Jas gets a late night visit from her boyfriend, Luke, Jamie is disappointed it is not his mother. At school the next day, the kids tease Jamie for the theft they still think he committed. At lunch, the kids surround Jamie and start making fun of him. Daniel even spits on him. Then Daniel is called inside by a girl who says the teacher wants to see him. When the students later return to class, they discover that someone has drawn a picture of the devil that looks like the teacher. Daniel is implicated in the prank because he is the only student to have gone into the building during recess.
