Chapters 46- 50 Summary and Analysis

In Chapter 46, Reymundo began using more cocaine than he sold, and the drug business fell off. He began doing burglaries again to earn money. With some other Kings, he hit a new gang, the Latin Lovers. Reymundo was hit in the head with a brick, kicked and knocked down. The Latin Lover held a gun to his head and demanded that he shout, "King Killer!" or he'd pull the trigger. Reymundo knows that he would be shot anyway, so he shouted, "King Love!" The Lover pulled the trigger. The gun jammed and did not fire. The police came, and the gang member ran away. When the police questioned him, Reymundo falsely accused everyone who appeared to be a gang member of the attack. For the first time, two gang crime division detectives offered to help Reymundo if he wanted...
