Summary

Chapter 14 is titled “Grammatical Shenanigans.” The bus driver stops for pie and Mim goes to the Aces Dairy Dip Mart Stop Plus for ice cream. She challenges the girl scooping ice cream and winds up with a “double-chocolate-espresso-chip-raspberry-mint-caramel-lemon waffle cone.” She discovers a police car with flashing lights at the diner and learns she is in Independence.
