The Prisoner in the Oak, Chapter 15 Summary

Gawaine admits to Morgause that he suffered injuries in a fight with someone over a comment that Arthur was a cuckold. It is becoming widely known that not only are Gwenhwyfar and Lancelet lovers, but that she sends her women away so Lancelet can come to her at night. This is making Arthur the laughingstock of the realm. Gawaine take offense to it and fights back, although he knows it to be true. This also greatly distresses Gwydion, who is violently opposed to such a threat to the country. He feels that something must be done to put an end to the talk, and if that means Gwenhwyfar and Lancelet need to be cast forth, then so be.....
