Chapters 16-19 Summary

In chapter 16, Lucas receives a call from a woman who claims to have met the kidnapper once while playing a game at an acquaintances apartment. The woman takes Lucas and his partner to the apartment where they interview the woman. The woman, Gloria Crosby, claims that the kidnapper was a guy she met him at a restaurant and let him stay at her place for a week. Lucas and his partner return to their witness and learn that the woman lied about the kidnapper's name. When they return to the apartment to interview Crosby again, she is gone. Lucas and Sloan attempt to chase her down, but have no luck. They return to search her apartment and speak to her neighbors, but do not learn anything useful.
