Chapters 6-8 Summary

In chapter 6, Lucas meets Black and Sherrill at Andi's office. Lucas shows the warrant to look through Andi's office and files to the receptionist, who instantly gets Nancy Wolfe. Wolfe is concerned about patient confidentiality and tells the police to get out of the office. Lucas refuses, even threatens to arrest Wolfe if she interferes. Wolfe leaves the office, but promises to call her lawyer and get an injunction. From there, Lucas goes to a game store where he is friendly with the owner. Lucas asks about any new faces that might fit the description of the kidnapper. The store owner tells Lucas that a man who happened to be in the store when Lucas walked in fits the description perfectly. Lucas goes to speak to the man but discovers he is already gone.
