Chapters 3-5 Summary

In chapter 3, Lucas meets Chief of Police, Rose Marie Roux at her home where he fills her in on the investigation up to this point. Lucas and Chief Roux then go to the home of Tower Manette where they find him waiting anxiously for word of his daughter and granddaughters along with his wife, Helen Manette, and Andi's psychiatry partner, Nancy Wolfe. Lucas tells Tower what they know up to this point and then begins asking questions about the family finances and Andi's personal life. Manette's opinion seems to center around the idea that Andi's estranged husband, George Dunn, might have hired someone to kidnap Andi to protect himself from financial losses in the event of a divorce.
