Chapters 15-17 Summary

Chapter 15. Fabrizio runs into Count Scarazoni as he is rushing to the scene of the murder. Fabrizio manages to stop Count Scarazoni and the king for a moment to ask if Mangus might watch for the ghost with Princess Teresina that night. Count Scarazoni quickly agrees. Fabrizio then takes advantage of the confusion over the discovery of the body to speak with Teresina. They discuss the viewing of the ghost that night. When a lady in waiting comes to the door, Teresina pushes Fabrizio out of her chambers through a secret door. Fabrizio realizes someone has been listening and he rushes to see who, but the person escapes. However, Fabrizio finds a glove that he recognizes as Count Scarazoni's.

Chapter 16. Fabrizio returns to his chambers and tells Mangus what he has learned. Fabrizio then asks what will happen if they do...
