Summary

In Chapter 33, Mallory, Magnus and Samirah find the thralls. They see the group struggling to cut the wheat from the field with scythes. The thralls spot them immediately. The group tells the thralls that they want to help them. One of the thralls tells them that the only thing they need help with harvesting the wheat. He explains that their master only gives them dull blades, and they are not allowed a break unless on the wheat is harvested. Mallory asks who their master is, and one of the thralls tells her that their master is Baugi.

Sam asks if they have other duties besides harvesting. They respond that they are also tasked with guarding the mead and a prisoner who lives in the cave. The giants talk about how they can stop harvesting to kill intruders, and begin to get excited at...
