'Feathers', 'Searching', 'Nightmare' Summary

Jay-Tee takes a very sleepy Reason home and helps her into bed. Reason asks her age, and Jay-Tee lies that she is eighteen, not wanting Reason to know that she is also only fifteen like her. Reason lies down in bed, complains that everything seems fuzzy, then lifts the pillow and blows away the pile of feathers underneath it. She then goes to sleep. Jay-Tee is amused, and thinks that 'he' is not going to like that.

Meanwhile, Tom has come to New York to help Esmeralda look for Reason. He seems to have the power to sense her. Esmeralda told him all about her problems with her daughter.
