Jimmie and the neighbor woman listen in the hallway to the fighting. She gives Jimmie a pail and asks him to fetch her some beer at the bar. He takes the money and the pail and goes to the bar to get it filled. As he is nearing the doorway to their building, he runs into his drunken father. His father realizes it is for the old woman and snatches it from Jimmie and drinks it all. He throws the pail down and it hits Jimmie in the head.
