Emma Carstairs

Emma is a Shadowhunter who is skilled and strong. However, sometimes, she is too independent and over-confident. She puts herself in unnecessary danger. Emma is Julian's parabatai, which means they are supposed to be bound for life but are not supposed to have a romantic connection. When they begin to have feelings for one another, Emma sets out to make Julian stop loving her in an effort to protect him. She understands the consequences if they give in to their feelings.
