chapter 10-11 Summary

One of the Woodhelven moved toward Thomas and Thomas picked up the stick he had previously dropped and hit the Woodhelven with it. They decide at that point that he can stay with Atiaran. They spend the night with the Woodhelven and the next morning they start their journey again being fully rested and with food and drink.

During the next few days he realizes that he can feel something with his feet as he walks. Occasionally when he takes a step he feels like he has stepped on acid or quicksand. It starts off subtle but begins to be more violent. Atiaran cannot feel it.
