Summary

Chapter 10 – Jacob, Emma, Miss Peregrine, Addison, the peculiars, and the ymbrynes round up the Wights they come across. They free others peculiars still being held at the fortress. Jacob takes comfort from the fact that, though Bentham stole his grandfather’s soul, it was his grandfather who saved them all in the end. Jacob also worries about what will become of the Hollow in the battery chamber of the machine. Miss Peregrine says they will figure something out and do their best. Jacob wonders what will become of him and Emma now, especially because Emma must remain living in peculiardom. Jacob will have to return to see his parents, at least for a while. He and Emma decide to only be friends for the time being. Miss Peregrine later warns Jacob not to fall in love with any other girls while he is gone...
